Established for more than 40 years, the popular Koay Teow Th'ng stall previously found at Phuah Hin Leong Road has recently relocated to Pahang Road. The stall was previously located near to the junction of Phuah Hin Leong Road and Burmah Road, with a couple of tables and chairs but was well-received by those staying and working in the neighborhood. It is known for its classic, authentic Penang Koay Teow Th'ng... the type of clear, clean-tasting broth served with meat, fish balls and finished with Pork Lards and Garlic Oil. The new place is known as Fu Xiang Cafe and it is fully air-conditioned- same taste as before but with better dining atmosphere.

The classic Koay Teow Th'ng broth at Fu Xiang Cafe was light and easy on the palate... there was discernible meaty flavor but comfortably mild and not overwhelming. This is the type of broth that everyone can drink on a regular basis and of course, the old-school, authentic Penang Koay Teow Th'ng broth (if you know what it means). Apart from the classic Koay Teow Th'ng, Fu Xiang Cafe rolls out a new flavor- Lemon juice-infused Koay Teow Th'ng... basically the usual broth with addition of Lemon juice for the special zing. The broth was lightly seasoned, so the acidity dominated the concoction; if we must choose, we would prefer the classic version.
