Taking over Tokyo Kitchen at Icon City is Shunju Japanese Cuisine... there is not much change in terms of interior and exterior decor but there are some new additions to the menu. Like its predecessor, the Japanese restaurant offers a big Japanese menu... from appetizers, Sashimi, Sushi, Yakimono, Nabe, and various Set meals. Prices are on the steeper side though.
Shunju Chirashi (Rm 38.80)

Sashimi Salada (Rm 27.80)
We started off with Sashimi Salada... various Sashimi cuts served on a bed of crunchy greens, dressing was Japanese Wafu dressing. While we admire the generosity of ingredients in the Salad, we could not agree on the scoop of Tuna. We thought the fish stench was killing the bowl of Salad, the Wafu dressing did not quite blend in well with the Tuna as well.
On mains, the Gyuniku Sukiyaki Rice Set comes in a huge serving portion but to our dismay, the Sukiyaki Hot Pot was served like an ordinary pot... sans the continuous heating at the bottom. It then quickly became cold as we continued eating. The flavor was alright but it just did not feel like eating the real Sukiyaki. Also, raw Egg was replaced with Soft Boiled Egg. Shunju Chirashi was pretty standard- fresh and generously cut Sashimi but for that portion, we thought it was steeply priced.
