A place meant for plant-lovers, Urban Green Cabin positioned themselves as a unique nature themed cafe. The place occasionally rolls out Terrarium courses for enthusiasts or alike to pick up some Terrarium-making skills (watch out their Facebook page for more information) but if you do not have a green finger or keen interest like me, just head over there for the food or the cool atmosphere. With a theme that rides on nature, one would expect the place to be decorated according to the theme... with greens and plants adorning the walls. The menu on the other hand, has got nothing to do with plants. It has the standard Western menu, featuring Chicken Chop, Fish and Chips, Spaghetti, Pizza, pastries etc.
Tortilla Wrap (Rm 16)
Apple Bar (Rm 4)
Green Elder (Rm 15)
We wanted something light for that day and we had the Tortilla Wrap. Probably inspired by the Taiwanese Egg Pancake, Urban Green Cabin's had a piece of Egg Omelette sheet above the Tortilla, with Chicken Slices, Tomatoes, Lettuce and Feta Cheese. Though this rendition of theirs was something unusual, we thought it was well-thought of. The combination worked out for us, everything complemented each other and none overpowered. But for Rm 16, we thought the price was a little steep for that portion. For sweet, we had the Apple Bar... apple sauce encased in a flaky, sweet Pastry. The apple sauce was beautifully done... refreshing, fruity sans the saccharine sweetness. We washed down with a Mocktail- Green Elder... fizzy with a jolting sourness; not too shabby but price-wise, a little steep.
