Malaysians have certainly professed their love for Chee Cheong Fun (steamed Rice rolls)- whether the local form of Shrimp paste-laden Chee Cheong Fun or the KL-styled sweet paste Chee Cheong Fun or even the Hong Kong-styled steamed Rice rolls served with light Soy sauce... we know where to find the best ones. Though it is usually a hawker fare, Ling Zheng Xiang (凌蒸香正宗广东石磨肠粉) has given the Chinese delicacy a little upgrade... with various types of toppings being introduced to the Rice rolls. Found at Chai Leng Park, the Chee Cheong Fun-focused restaurant is gaining its popularity... partly due to its budget-friendly prices and interesting variety. You'll have to check it out if you love your Chee Cheong Fun, particularly Hong Kong-styled Chee Cheong Fun.

Despite the affordable price tags, all serving portion is rather large at Ling Zheng Xiang. Prawn Chee Cheong Fun is a safe option... with Cabbage and Shrimps... served with light Soy sauce and their home-made Chili paste. The Rice rolls were less smoother than the usual ones but definitely fluffier and chewier. It was easy and light on the palate, we also like the fact that they served their food piping hot. Egg Chee Cheong Fun was okay but not quite the case for Fish Slices Chee Cheong Fun... the Fish could be fresher as they possessed an unpleasant fish stench. Other than the Rice rolls, the boiled Soup is equally worth-trying. All Soups are beautifully cooked and served piping hot, Rice and green Vege Set is available by topping up Rm 2.
