Following the success of its establishment at Bukit Mertajam, Boiled Chicken Restaurant (诚蚝油滑鸡) has finally opened up a new branch near Ong Yi How, Butterworth... offering the neighborhood its signature boiled Chicken served with Oyster sauce. The new branch is pretty much welcomed with a great crowd since its opening, the menu features similar items from its main branch; same goes to the interior decor but we like that the tables are well-spaced and the whole dining space is brightly lit. A pretty comfortable place for a casual, inexpensive and comforting local meal. Find this place near the traffic light from Jalan Raja Uda to Ong Yi How at Butterworth.

Served in Oyster sauce, the silky smooth Chicken was delicately seasoned with addictive-tender texture; the garlic-tangy Chili dip makes a great add-on to the Chicken. The Hor Fun on the other hand, was a little lumpy and not as smooth as we would have hoped. Sprouts and Eggs were fine and of satisfactory.
