Ba Fang Beef Noodles (八方牛) @ Taman Kheng Tian, Jelutong, Penang.

A new kid in town- the name Ba Fang Beef Noodles paints a picture; but getting your way there could be challenging. It took us some time before we could locate the exact location. The place is small with only two tables placed at the corridor but the real draw of the place is their Braised Beef Brisket and Innards. We hesitated if we should dine in as we were not convinced with the seating arrangement but we gave in nevertheless. Ba Fang Beef Noodles is located right next to Old Town White Coffee at Perak Road, Jelutong.

Beef Brisket Noodles (牛腩面/ Rm 10)

Beef Innards- Mixed (牛杂/ Rm 8)

It's either meat (or innards) alone or to go with Noodles (sorry for the noodle-averse) here at Ba Fang Beef Noodles. The broth for the Beef Brisket Noodles was clean and light on the palate, with a faint but discernible sweetness. The meat was fork-tender, vigorous chewing was not necessary but we hope that the cuts could be larger in size. The Noodles were standard-average, the usual fat Vermicelli Noodles that are seen elsewhere; the dish was most comforting but even better to go with their home-made Chili flakes for a touch of smoky spicy punch. Approach with caution though.
