67 Coffee Mansion @ Irving Road, Georgetown, Penang.

** 67 Coffee Mansion has since ceased its business operation.**

Tucked within a bungalow along an alley behind the bustling Macalister Road, 67 Coffee Mansion is a worth-visiting cafe that has conceived a solid menu. Interestingly, 67 Coffee Mansion places great emphasis on Pork dishes. The brightly lit and spacious cafe offers ample seating areas while the use of wooden tables exudes an enormously pleasing sense of tranquility. The management takes the initiatives to take in a renowned international brand (coffee beans)- PURO, which seeks to protect the environment and contribute to environmental sustainability. Great food, reasonable prices, good initiative; I see no reasons for not visiting this cafe again.

67 Coffee Mansion's signature dish- Mushy Piggy (Rm 11.90) shares the same ingredients as Egg Benedict. A nicely poached Egg served on a bed of Mushrooms, Bacon Bits and doused with a generous amount of Hollandaise sauce. The picture spoke for itself. The thick and rich Hollandaise sauce was deftly seasoned and beautifully cooked, perfectly balanced in flavor with an agreeable amount of acidic; it complements the poached Egg perfectly. The Mushrooms, on the other hand, added a hint of earthiness to the dish while the savory-chewy Bacons enticed the dish with its smokiness. The side- Fresh Greens dressed with a tangy -zingy Orange dressing was equally delectable and especially appetizing. One of the nicely done Egg Ben variants by far.

There were plenty of desserts available on our visit but Jackfruit Coconut Brulee (Rm 9.90) caught my attention. Inevitably sweet but we were pleased with the salty sweet Coconut Brulee sheathed within a sugary roof consists of bits of Jackfruit which gave the dessert a distinctive personality. We were also amazed by how the Gula Melaka and Coconut Cream dovetailing with Jackfruit. However, we thought the burnt aroma was not strong enough and could be better with a longer torch.

Cappuccino (Rm 8)
