D Fahrenheit Yogurt @ Farquhar Street, Penang.

It has been my interest to hunt for some unique eateries in Penang and I've came across one recently.... D Fahrenheit Yogurt offers Yogurt-based dessert, with an unique touch of some exquisite flavors. The shop might not be too appealing at first but the moment I had stepped inside, I was surprised to see all the Marilyn  Monroe mannequin and posters all around the place. I have yet to try on their main courses but I did try some of their signature desserts and they stood out well. It shouldn't be too hard to locate the place, D Fahrenheit Yogurt is situated at where Penang Bowls is located, right opposite Lexus show room and same row as E&O Hotel Penang. The place has a very cozy ambiance and suitable for gatherings, price-wise, I find it affordable. I was rather amazed by their variety of dessert and the creativity of the restaurateur for creating/ inventing some unique flavors for its diners. I will definitely make another round of visit after Chinese New Year.

Introduced by the restaurateur herself as one of their signature desserts. This Peach White Wine Yogurt (Rm 11+) carries a very strong flavor of White Wine as the White Wine will be poured on top of the Yogurt upon serving to customers. The Peach-infused Yogurt has some mashed cookies as a base, I like the fact that the dessert being simple and natural. Despite the fact that they are using canned Peaches but the sweetness was just alright, being balanced up by the sourness from the Yogurt, as well as the bitterness from the White Wine, making it a very delicate dessert. I would find the portion a little bit too big for one and would be perfect for sharing. This was my favorite of the day, I was rather, hopelessly obsessed with this dessert after one bite.

We also had their Yogurt Cheese (Rm 9+) which comes with a layer of mashed Chocolate/ Oreo-like Cookies. Frankly speaking, the Cheesy flavor did not stand out to me and it would be ideal if it tasted more cheesy, especially for cheese-lovers. I also like the fact that their desserts were not too sweet and in fact, most of them have a hint of sourness due to the nature of Yogurt, making the dessert appetizing and refreshing.

We had decided to go for something "out of the frame" and came across their Exotic Durian Yogurt (Rm 11+) which has a very robust Durian-flavor. For this particular dessert, I would in fact, prefer it to be slightly sweeter. However, my friend find it good enough for her liking, especially the additional touch of Sunflower Seeds which give the extra bite. Compliments should be given for blending the Durian flavor well enough into the Yogurt. Durian lovers should definitely look for this dessert.
