Milk and Honey Cafe @ Pahang Road, Georgetown, Penang.

If you needed something sweet after dinner, do check out Milk and Honey Cafe. Strategically located in the heart of Georgetown (Pahang Road to be exact), the new kid in town has a dessert menu caters mainly to the locals. There are many familiar, old-school desserts on offer (like Bee Koh Moi, Red Bean Soup, Peanut Soup, Bubur Cha Cha etc) with some nibbles. Though the dining space has no elegant setting, it is well-spaced and fully air-conditioned. More than good enough for an after-meal sweet treat. All items are reasonably priced too.

Gandum with Tau Hua 干冬豆花 (Rm 5.90)

Bee Koh Moi with Tao Hua 黑糯米豆花 (Rm 5.90)

Black Sesame Soup 芝麻糊 (Rm 5.90)

Steamed Prawn Dumplings 水晶虾饺 (Rm 5.90)

Both Tao Hua desserts we had were amazing, we love how silky smooth the texture was. The Tao Hua itself was delicately sweetened but together with the Bee Koh Moi and Gandum, the combination was more flavorful... nuttier texture but more satisfying bite. Black Sesame Soup was not shabby either... a very thick and rich concoction but carefully sweetened. It may not be sweet enough for some but it was perfectly good for us.... not common to find such a rich Sesame Soup these days. On the savory nibble, we had the Steamed Prawn Dumplings... which we thought it can be omitted... disappointingly average.
