Lee Roast House (李记烧腊馆) @ Raja Uda, Butterworth, Penang.

Opened in March 2018, Lee Roast House is one of the few standalone roast meat specialists in the neighborhood (most can be found housed in coffee shops) of Raja Uda. It has the standard range of meat on offer- Char Siew, Sio Bak, Roasted Chicken and Duck... with some sides and vegetable dishes. Diners have the options to choose between Noodles or Rice to go with the meat. Nothing's new but classic offering that can be accepted by all age groups. Wallet-friendly prices with quality food and comfortable dining space, worth-checking out if you are in the vicinity.

Mix Platter (Rm 13.90- serves 2 pax)

Roast Duck Meat (Rm 5/ serves 1 pax)

Braised Egg (Rm 1.20 each)

Wan Ton Mee (Rm 2)

Lee's Char Siew veers towards the sweeter side, with the common dark hue; the mix platter of Roasted Chicken, Sio Bak and Char Siew was served with a splash of their home-made gravy... not shabby but I did not find it out of the world delicious. The Roasted Duck on the other hand, surprised us... not on the taste but the price. We found it rather worth-the-value... for a mere Rm 5, we were given a Thigh.

Praise-worthy was the Wan Ton Mee, the dressing sauce was beautifully made. It has a balance of sweet and savory elements, accompanied by the alluring, crisp Pork Lard. The noodles were as springy as we would have expected, they have probably earned more marks because of this.
