One of the latest additions to D' Piazza Mall is Hainan Street Traditional Chicken Rice; like what the shop name says- Chicken Rice. Other than Rice, diners also have the option to go for Porridge while the Chicken is available in 2 variants: Steamed Chicken or BBQ Chicken. The menu is basically fixed and it is easy for everyone- you basically get everything including the carbs and the rice. The place is air-conditioned and can be a convenient spot for a quick, inexpensive fix.

We had both Steamed and BBQ version; both were okay. The former one was not exactly silky smooth but the texture was not overly rough either. Both were served with Chicken Thigh; the BBQ version carried a sleek sweetness and served with the Ipoh-style fat and short Bean Sprouts. The Porridge was a little overly thick to our liking and it was heavily seasoned. The Rice fared better in our opinion. The Set order comes with free flow of Herbal Tea and Soup. In all honesty, we thought it was quite an average Chicken Rice (not to say disappointing but definitely nothing out of the ordinary).
