The team behind The Pinn 老品 started the business with an aim to preserve the flavors of the yesteryears. The effort was being recognized by Michelin. As they rolled out more items on the menu, they find the need to relocate with a bigger kitchen and more capacity. It was previously located at Malay Street Ghaut but has since relocated to Weld Quay, adjacent to the Lee Jetty. The menu has expanded to include more traditional and creative dishes.
Many Thanks to The Pinn for hosting us.
The Pinn Kerabu Prawn with Rice is one of the new items on the menu; in collaboration with Po-Po brand Premium Soy Sauce, The Pinn rolled out this dish in memory of the proprietor's childhood dish. It has an Indonesian twist- highlighted by the premium Soy sauce with a hint of sweetness. Many regulars' favorite- The Pinn Fish Balls remain as one of the favorited dishes at The Pinn; handmade using fresh Mackerel Fish, the fish Balls carry an indelible seafood-sweetness with an addictive bouncy texture. As simple as it gets- The Pinn's Deep Fried Wan Ton may sound deceivingly simple but not everyone does the job right. The Pinn managed to cook the Deep Fried Wan Ton perfectly- crispy outside and juicy meat filling inside; so addictive that everyone was fighting for more helping.
