EC Canteen 一禧食堂 is one of the latest spots in town for a quick, inexpensive casual Chinese meal. The restaurant offers a Chinese menu with a focus in roasted meat (roasted Chicken, Duck, Pork, Char Siew etc) and an array of noodle choices... suitable for diners of all age-range. Items are reasonably priced and the place is fully air-conditioned. Suitable for a casual meal or simple family eat-out; EC Canteen is located at Noordin Street (towards CY Choy). 

Two Combination Noodles 双拼烧腊面 (Rm 14.90/ dry)

Fresh Barramundi Milky Noodles 鲜鱼肉白汤面 (Rm 16.90)

BBQ Char Siew 玻璃叉烧 (Rm 14.90)

Iced Honey Lemon Tea 蜂蜜柠檬茶 (Rm 5.90)

The Wan Ton Noodles were great at EC Canteen- addictively springy and the sweet-savory dark Soy Sauce with a hint of Pork Lard worked super well with the noodles. The accompanying roasted meats were fine and decent. We like the broth of the Fresh Barramundi Milky Noodles, reasonably seasoned with a sleek umami-taste; a pity that the Barramundi was not too fresh and the meat was slouchy soft. If you like your BBQ Char Siew with pockets of fats, EC Canteen's would work for you (not for us unfortunately).
