How Kee Curry 豪记咖喱饭 @ Bukit Tambun, Penang.

How Kee Curry 豪记咖喱饭 is known for its Curry dishes as well as its fast, inexpensive Chu Char dishes. Before the pandemic and lockdown, the place was one the most-frequented supper places for the folks staying in the area due to its opening hours (it opens until late at night). Today, the place remains popular as a casual, family eat-out place. There is no fixed menu at How Kee Curry, you will need to walk to the order counter and check out the seafood of the day. You can of course, ask for recommendations as well as the prices. Not exactly very outstanding but the service is fast and the price range is wallet-friendly.

Signature Curry- Stingray (Rm 15)

Steamed Clams with Thai Spicy-Sour Sauce (Rm 12)

Japanese Tofu with Meat Gravy (Rm 8)

Stir Fried Water Spinach with Sambal (Rm 6)

How Kee's signature Curry works well with all their Seafood offering. We had ours with Stingray and were glad that the Stingray was pretty fresh and the meat was tender-smooth. We enjoyed the dish a lot, the Curry was easy on the palate and not the fiery hot type. It was a little peppery though but generally, we thought it was rather mild and went very well with rice. The rest of the dishes were okay-average; the Stir Fried Water Spinach with Sambal however, was heavily seasoned and we thought was a tad too salty to our liking. But generally speaking, we found their dishes were on the saltier side.
