Found at Pahang Road and occupying one of the shop lots along that road, Unknown Café & Bistro is one of the latest cafes that sprung up at this corner of Georgetown. Stepping inside, the cafe has a minimalist interior; on the food offering- mains, light bites and desserts are available... with the Brunch menu occupying a big portion. Price points are standard-average but the place is definitely spacious and comfortable enough to enjoy a brunch. Parking might be limited on Pahang Road but there's a public parking space at Siam Road which allows visitors to enter the cafe via the back entrance.

Start with the lighter option- the Mushrooms and Scrambled Egg Croissant was overly greasy. The Croissant was lightly toasted and possessed flaky, buttery texture. The Scrambled Egg was cooked with Butter as well (perhaps the Mushrooms too), the combo was way too buttery to our liking. The side of mini Hash Browns had not done much in its aid except to add on to the greasiness of the dish. Perhaps, a decent Brioche would be a better choice than Croissant. The Big Breakfast is a popular choice and has a few variants. We went for the Chicken Roll and Sausages; like the earlier dish, the Scrambled Egg was overly buttery to our liking. The whole Big Breakfast felt very greasy and lacked of refreshing elements like Roasted Tomatoes. The Sausages and Chicken Ham were nothing out of the ordinary... not that they were bad but nothing special. Teriyaki Chicken and Sesame Pasta was probably the best scorer of the day but it was a misnomer. We were expecting a dry Pasta with Teriyaki sauce as seasoning but it was in fact, a cream-based Pasta topped with Teriyaki Chicken. The sauce was alright- creamy and perfectly seasoned but the Linguine was slightly overcooked (a little too soft to our liking).
