A popular Chinese eatery- Yuan Wei has ceased its business operations earlier ago; replacing the restaurant is Thong Thai Fusion... a restaurant offering Thai menu. The interior decor has not changed much since then... still a comfortable space for casual dining. While the menu features many Thai-influenced dishes, the appetizers are somewhat lacking. It places great focuses on Seafood though. Not all dishes are authentically Thai, some are rather localized but since it says Thai-Fusion, so I guess that pretty much sets the expectations. Prices are on the higher side if you must know.

We started off with an unusual appetizer... Steamed Tofu with Spicy-Lime sauce; the tangy Thai sauce is normally used for Seafood but in this context, it works as well. But if you must compare, we thought it would work better with Seafood. Tom Yum Seafood was delicious... with the quintessential acidity and spiciness, they were pretty generous with the amount of Seafood as well. Equally delectable would be Paneang Curry Chicken, a creamy concoction of Curry and Chicken strips... tender meat and flavorful creamy sauce, best spooned over rice. The Kheng Som Grouper on the other hand, was disappointing. While the fish was fresh, it did not work well with their Kheng Som concoction. The flavor felt a little off the track and a tad too dry to our liking. We would prefer the creamy version and perhaps, more sauce would be good.
