Rasa Rasa 回味 @ Chulia Street Ghaut, Georgetown, Penang.

Found in an unexpected spot next to the bustling Chulia Street Ghaut, Rasa Rasa 回味 feels like a mysterious space in a heritage building; the stand-up display menu at the entrance would however, give a rough idea on what the place could potentially offer. Step in the cafe and you will feel a sense of nostalgia, the old-fashioned knick-knacks and used furniture is a reminiscent of childhood memories. The food menu is most relevant though... serving Malaysian's favorite delights like Nasi Lemak, Roti Benggali Toast and desserts.

Pandan Nasi Lemak with Sambal Udang (Rm 12.90)

Special Siam Bee Hoon (Rm 4.90/ Large) with Combo- Sausage + Ham + Sunny Side Up (Rm 3.50)

Special Siam Bee Hoon (Rm 3.90/ Large) with Curry Chicken and Potatoes (Rm 5.50)

Curry Chicken with Benggali Bread (Rm 7.50)

Deep Fried Chicken Fingers (Rm 6.90)

Home-made Chicken Roll (Rm 5.90)

Bubur Cha Cha (Rm 5.90)

The mains are rather limited, its either Nasi Lemak or Siam Bee Hoon. The Nasi Lemak comes with different toppings... nice elements but the taste combo did not really hit us. Likewise for Siam Bee Hoon... there was not any significant flavor, as though we were having ordinary Bee Hoon instead. The Curry felt a little too watery to our liking. Though the food did not really leave a very strong impression, we thought they were of okay-acceptable level; would be great if they could extend their food menu to more choices.
