Yong Tau Foo is an unlikely affair at the light industrial zone of Seri Kembangan but one particular shop stands out. Those who are in the know will find their way to Sister Kam Yong Tau Foo, a Yong Tau Foo specialist that offers home-made Yong Tau Foo. The variety is rather limited but ardent fans of Yong Tau Foo will find the rows of Hakka delights more than satisfying; though prices seem to be on the higher side for Penang's standards. A no-frills casual lunch spot that you may consider to drop by if you are in the vicinity.
Deep Fried Yong Tau Foo (Rm 1.60 per piece)
Yong Tau Foo in Soup (Rm 1.60 per piece)
Roast Chicken (Rm 4)
Curry Chee Cheong Fun (Rm 3)
While the Yong Tau Foo staples are available, diners have to decide on carbohydrates- whether to go with Plain Rice or Curry Chee Cheong Fun. We picked the latter choice... the creamy factor was there and the Curry was bursting with an alluring aroma. On the Yong Tau Foo, the sizes are generally larger than those found in Penang but pretty standard in Klang Valley. Not superior at all levels but definitely above average.
