Dragon Noodle (龍鬚麵) @ Solaria Square, Bayan Lepas, Penang.

A new member to Solaria Square at Bayan Lepas- Dragon Noodle (龍鬚麵) dishes out piping hot Sze Chuan-inspired noodle dishes. The noodle shop has a simple menu... just pick between 2 ingredients or 3 ingredients and proceed to select the noodle type as well as toppings. There are several soup bases as well; the basic ones can be quite affordable but it can also be quite a damage to the wallet as you add more stuff to the bowl. If you are in the vicinity and looking for a decent place for a quick fix, this place can be one of the options.

Three Ingredients (Rm 12.90) in Special Beef Soup (additional Rm 2)- Braised Beef (top up Rm 3.90)/ Seafood Tofu/ Fried Fish Balls

Three Ingredients (Rm 12.90) in Signature Milky and Wine Soup

We had both the signature Milky-Wine Soup and Special Beef Soup; the former one was more soothing and felt more comfortable to the palate, the latter option carried a bold beefy flavor... suitable for those who prefer stronger flavors. On the noodles... we had both Dragon Beard Noodle (signature) and La Mian; we found the former choice a little too gooey and perhaps, too slouchy to our liking while the La Mian possessed better bite (though not really al-dente). Nothing spectacular on the toppings but the braised Beef was a winning glory. The meat was beautifully cooked with flavors and addictive meaty texture.
