Wang Thai at All Seasons Place has been serving up Thai food for the residents in the neighborhood for quite some time but recently, there's a stiff competition for Thai food, particularly within the commercial building of All Seasons Place. The new addition- Chang Thai Restaurant is the new venture behind Tomyummy Noodle House. It has plenty of Thai-influenced dishes to offer- from Kerabu to Fried Fritters, Tom Yum, Seafood and classic stir fry dishes. But prices are on the higher side and the food quality is merely passable-satisfactory.
Steamed Fish with Thai Spicy-Sour Sauce (Rm 38)
Seafood Kerabu (Rm 18/ small)
Stir Fried Clams (Rm 16/ small)
Pad Thai (Rm 18/ large)
Chang Thai is proud of its steamed fish- true enough, the Steamed Fish with Thai Spicy-Sour Sauce was delicious. The real draw was the pungent, saliva-inducing Garlic-Lime sauce. It packed a flavorful punch- garlicky, acidic and addictive-spicy. The fish (Siakap) was fresh and paired well with the Thai-influenced sauce. The Seafood Kerabu was equally good, it had all the boxes ticked- fresh seafood, alluring flavors but they could be more generous with the mangoes. The Stir Fried Clams was a disappointment though, it was a tad too salty to our liking. The flavors were odd, the Clams were overcooked... we did not like it.
