If you are a frequent visitor to Raja Uda-district, you would have noticed Maple Leaf Bakery for long but the new addition to the bakery is the brand's in-house cafe... on the second floor of the bakery. All pastries and cakes are home-baked, but the menu for mains is weak and uninspiring. The displaying fridge may seem interesting from far but when walked near, there's actually nothing attractive. The only possible pull factor for Cafe De Maple is the huge mural on the wall... featuring a famous Japanese anime character- Totoro. Unlikely a place that I would make another visit.

Chicken Ham & Cheese Waffle (Rm 9.90)
We had both sweet and savory items just to test the depth of the water. The Chicken Ham & Cheese Waffle was a mere disappointment, two crispy but thin layers of Waffles sandwiching a sliver of Ham and Cheese... heavily drizzled with Mayonnaise and sweet Chili sauce. The sauces were overpowering the taste of Cheese and Ham, we tasted nothing but Mayonnaise.
If you yearn for something sweet, you may try your luck at the display fridge right next to the order counter. Their Nutty Raspberry Cheese comes in 4 different layers- Strawberry Jam, Strawberry Mousse, Cream Cheese and crushed Biscuits. The Strawberry Jam was sweet on its own but if you were to eat everything together, the sweetness was well-balanced. The Strawberry flavor was present across all 3 top layers but as far as Cheese Cake was concerned, we thought the Cheese element was too weak.
