Famous Balik Pulau Assam Laksa has moved to Kim Seng Kopitiam @ Balik Pulau, Penang.

The famous Balik Pulau Laksa that sits within the wooden, heritage house at the junction from the new market towards the main road is now relocated to a new space. Kim Seng Kopitiam can be found within the new Botanica development area; not only Laksa but Pasembur and Char Koay Teow are now available either. The operators discontinued the business due to personal reasons but has since resumed and running their own right now. The location is a little far but finding a place to park requires less effort right now.

Siam Laksa (Small/ Rm 4)

Assam Laksa (Small/ Rm 4)

Pasembur (Small/ Rm 4)

Both Siam and Assam Laksa are available at Kim Seng, the quality of the broth and noodles were carefully preserved. The broth carried a balanced medley of sweet, sour and spiciness while the chewy fat noodles were simmered in a warm broth covered with flakes of Fish. It was a joy to enjoy the noodles. The Pasembur on the other hand, was mediocre. The only thing we would approve... was the Crackers. The other ingredients were there for decorative purposes only. The sauce was rather diluted and did not leave us a deep impression.
