My first impression towards JDog House & Cafe was... just an ordinary Pet House but I was wrong. It's a space dedicated entirely for dog lovers to mingle with the furry kids; also a cafe, the concept is simple- there is a petting zone in the Dog House with a cafe joint together right next to each other... though well partitioned. Diners are welcome to join the 10 resident dogs at the petting zone by purchasing ONE beverage item as admission fee, per person. There are couches, tables and chairs at the petting zone... though food/ snacks are not allowed to bring in the petting zone, drinks are excluded. However, please beware that there are plenty of dog furs scattered around unnoticed so visit at your discretion. Proper tables and cafe setting are available at the cafe-zone (though a little cramped)... separated by a glass door. Never mind on the food, after all, the main pull factor is the cute, friendly and playful furry kids. Arena Curve is the newly developed shop houses right next to Olive Tree Hotel and opposite to D Piazza Mall at Bayan Lepas.

All resident dogs are still puppies so please be gentle to them. Sanitize your hands and take off your socks before you enter the petting zone; of course, exercise appropriate etiquette too (don't hug the dogs for too long, let others play with them too). Photographs are allowed but please spare the puppies, do not use flash on them. The 10 resident dogs (4 Huskies, 2 King Charles, 1 Cocker Spaniel, 1 Samoyed, 1 Dachshund, 1 Tibetan Mastiff) might take turns to entertain the guests (not all 10 might be present at the petting zone at the same time); there were only 7 of them on my visit (and most of them were taking their sweet nap).
JDog House & Cafe serves no mains... only light snacks. We tried their Chicken Pot Pie (Rm 9), creamy concoction of chopped Onions, Carrots and Chicken Meat blanketed with a sheet of puff pastry. It was nothing out of the ordinary, you could probably get something like this in any convenience store that sells fast food. The concoction was creamy but not exactly flavorful, it was a tad watery to my liking (the texture was odd, probably stale).
