There will be some "Action Stalls" outside the restaurant; experienced in-house Chefs are ready to serve diners the authentic Malay delicacies freshly made on the spot. The culinary team of Sarkies takes on Ramadhan with panache in which the menu changes regularly, thus, regular patrons would not be bored with the existing dishes.

Cucur Udang/ Prawn Fritters and Pasembur/ Malaysian- Indian Salad

Acar Rampai

Popiah Basah/ Wet Spring Rolls with julienned Jicama

Glass Noodle Salad with Chicken

Gado-Gado/ Indonesian Salad with Peanut Dressing

Ulam Raja

The Salad corner highlights the quintessential traditional Malay dishes- their wide variety of Ulam will definitely catch your attention. Pair the fresh greens with their Sambal Belacan, Budu, Tempoyak, Cincalok and other condiments. For a twist of change, go for their Cucur Udang and Gado- Gado. The Cucur Udang, which made from fresh and succulent Prawns was good on its own but even better with the sweet-savory Peanut dipping sauce. Gado-Gado, the not-so-commonly seen Indonesian Salad is especially good for those who prefer sauce which comes with a strong peanut flavor. Thai Salad and various types of Kerabu are also available especially for their Jamuan Buka Puasa Buffet Dinner.

Salmon Sashimi

Assorted Sushi

Blanched Fresh Prawns

Blanched Black Mussels and New Zealand Green Mussels

Seafood lovers will be glad to know that the items at their Japanese Corner will be remain unchanged. Guests can expect to see Assorted Sushi and Sashimi on display, as well as the Japanese palate cleanser- Pickled Ginger. Fresh Prawns and Mussels will be made available as usual.

Grilled Chicken and Lamb Satay

Have a taste of local specialties at the action stall outside the restaurant. Meat lovers will be delighted to see the Grilled Chicken and Lamb Satay as well as Barbecue Chicken Wing on the grill. Equally savory is the freshly made Roti Canai with fluffy inside and crispy on the edges. For a change, go for the refreshingly light Assam Laksa with an appetizing sourish tilt.

Also not to be missed will be their signature dish- Roast Duck. The Duck was beautifully roasted with crispy skin, tender yet juicy meat. Equally delectable will be their Roast Lamb, Beef and Chicken which will be served together with a savory Brown sauce.

Lamb Curry with Potatoes

Bubur Lambuk

Daging Rendang Tok

Fried Squid with Dried Chilies

Nasi Briyani with Ayam Goreng Berempah

Stir Fried Squid with Turmeric

Be spoiled for choices at Sarkies as the Jamuan Buka Puasa pampers diners with myriad choices of Curries. Their Rendangs were impressive, though may be a little over-salted on its own; the Curries and Rendangs complemented the Nasi Briyani perfectly. The Squid dishes were especially enjoyable with the slightly resilient but not rubbery texture, beautifully complemented with the generous amount of Herbs and Spices. Other note-worthy dishes are Sup Ekor, Lamb Tikka, Ikan Panggang, Udang Lemak Nanas, Gulai Puyuh Dauh Selasih, Ikan Panggang Portugis and Daging Masak Kicap.

Assorted Malay Kuih

Mango Pudding

Creme Caramel

Hazelnut Carrot Cake

Mango Glutinous Rice served with Coconut Cream

Tiramisu

Rojak

Ice Kacang/ Cendol/ Shaved Ice Dessert

Assorted Local Fruits- Rambutan

To add a festive and welcoming touch, Sarkies offers diners the chance to savor many types of Kuih- Muih at one-go. Not to worry if you are not a fan of those traditional Kuih- Muih, the usual spread of dainty Cakes and Desserts will also be available as well. We were pleased and delighted with the quality of the Tiramisu, though the flavor of Espresso was strong but it was beautifully balanced out with the sweet and silky smooth texture. Quell the tropical heat with a bowl of icy cold Ice Kacang, guests get to choose their own preferred condiments to be added. Pamper yourself in this festive season by topping your bowl of Ice Kacang with a scoop of Ice Cream. The flavors available (for the Ice Cream) are Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry, Mango and Green Tea.
