A stroll along Bishop Street, you will arrive at a new but curious cafe that seeks to serve a cup of good coffee and a selection of breakfast menu with a few selection of pastries/ cakes. Similarly to its precedent- Lighthouse Coffeebar, DCOVA Cafe specializes in offering coffees as well. They have an extensive range of coffees that pleases everyone. Decor is minimalist in shades of black and white, soaring ceiling adorned with mellow lights bestows a comfortable yet cozy ambiance while the seating could be more spacious to provide ample comfort; it is a very pleasant place to rest your feet and unwind. The cafe proffers all-day breakfast menu but with very limited choices at the moment.
Health-conscious customers will be glad to know that DCOVA Cafe has Y&G (Yogurt & Granola, Rm 8.90) to offer. The sourness of the Yogurt helps to cut through the sweetness of Granola a little while the Granola provides a little crunch to the Yogurt. This can be very good alternative to assuage your guilt for having too much cakes and pastries. However, my only gripe will be the portion, which I thought it could be bigger for the price.
Chocolate ? Peanut Butter? Now you can taste both in a cake by having their Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake (Rm 12.90), moist and chocolaty cake sandwiching a layer of Chocolate Peanut Butter in which I felt the flavor was a little thin, I would prefer a stronger Peanut Butter flavor with a mellow of saltiness, giving the cake a nice twist and tilt. No, I am not complaining.
