Official Launching of Gartien Mid-Autumn Limited Edition @ Goh Kaki, Bishop Street, Penang.

In conjunction with the Mid-Autumn Festival which is around the corner (middle of September), Gartien is proud to launch their limited edition of new packaging for this auspicious season. The new trendy yet elegant packaging was designed by the very beautiful yet talented Penang-based artist- Ms. Li Jynn; the artwork resembles the moon which refers to the Moon Cake Festival or commonly known as Mid Autumn Festival. Ms. Li Jynn wishes to create awareness to the public by including a Civet Cat in her artwork, which reminds one about the rights of other living things when celebrating the festival. I was honored to be invited to this event to witness the official launching of their limited packaging at Goh Kaki, Bishop Street, Penang.

Priced at Rm 38 nett for a box, Gartien Pineapple Cakes make a very good choice for this auspicious season if you are looking for something different apart from Moon Cakes as gifts for your friends and relatives. However, please do note that the cakes have a shelf-life of not more than 5 weeks as no preservatives will be added and they are freshly produced. Moreover, the Pineapple Cakes are made locally, including the filling of Pineapple where they have a plantation at Nibong Tebal. The lip-smacking Pineapple Cakes are fluffy outside and flaky for the filling, with a very strong buttery aroma. For more information and review on the Pineapple Cakes, kindly refer to my previous post which can be found here.

The event started with two emcees welcoming the guests and inviting the guests to have a taste on their delectable Pineapple Cakes.

The event followed with the revealing of Ms. Li Jynn's artwork.

I was utterly disappointed with the buffet lunch served by Goh Kaki whether in terms of the portion, taste or service. None of them was up to par. Anyway, I shall not elaborate further on the food. These were some Siamese Fighting Fish displayed within the dining area.

Every media was given a box of their Gartien Pineapple Cakes, thanks for the cakes Gartien!

Apart from giving away as gifts or souvenirs, it's a good idea to serve the Pineapple Cakes as afternoon tea to your home guests too. The sophisticated design of the packaging does add some marks to the overall environment. I had my hearty afternoon tea enjoyed at my compound, complemented with a cup of warm Appleflower tea given by a friend of mine. What are you waiting for? Do try their Pineapple Cakes out!

Advanced ordering is highly recommended, kindly drop them a message on their Facebook Page or send them an email or call them. All the necessary information can be found here:
