Joez Coconut Jelly @ Dato Keramat Road, Georgetown, Penang.

While Coconut Jelly is commonly seen and easily to find these days, people are still going back to this place for its famous Coconut Jelly, which said to be the first in introducing the dessert. Foong from Foongpc.com has come to visit Penang for a few days tour, Ann from Constance-Ant.com was tagging along for the food tour. The weather was hot that we nearly melted! We were hunting for some thirst-quencher and we stumbled upon this place- Joez Coconut Jelly which is within a stone throw distance from Penang Times Square and before the traffic light to the Police Station at Jalan Dato Keramat.

I haven't had this for quite some time and came to realize that the price has increased by Rm 0.40 since my last visit! The Coconut Jelly is priced at Rm 4.20 now, unlike the usual jelly, the Coconut Jelly by Joez is something smoother and softer. It does not require any effort to chew the jelly and it just melts in your mouth instantly. The refreshing coconut is made of Pandan Coconut which comes in a bit sweet naturally. A very good dessert to quench your thirst especially with the warm and hazy weather right now.

I was not bother to try their Coconut Milk Shake (Rm 3.80) but since Ann has ordered one, I might as well sample some of the shake. The Coconut Milk Shake turned out to be slightly too sweet and milky to my liking. I have no idea why it's called as the Coconut Milk Shake while all I could tasted was Milky Vanilla flavor, although they have added some Coconut Juice into the making of this shake but the Vanilla Ice Cream and Evaporated Milk added were too over-powering and I couldn't even taste the Coconut! They have added some Pearls into the drink too which we were not too fancy of. It was a decent drink but I just don't find it appropriate to name it as Coconut Milk Shake. I shall stick to their Coconut Jelly instead.
