Have A Seat Cafe (坐坐吧) @ The Landmark, Tanjung Tokong, Penang.

A new tenant at The Landmark, one of the latest commercial buildings along Tanjung Tokong; Have A Seat Cafe boasts over its comfortable, homey atmosphere with an array of its home-made Cakes. Manned by Taiwanese, the friendly proprietor speaks fluent Mandarin with Taiwanese accent. When asked for recommendations, she enthusiastically introduced her products. The mains include a series of Pasta dishes and some Sandwich choices; some familiar combinations and some quirky, playful variants. Prices are on the higher side but the place feels more like a place for casual meet ups in lieu of proper meals.

Creamy Tomato Thai Sauce Spaghetti (Rm 20)

Cendol Cake (Rm 18)

Rather a playful combination, the Creamy Tomato Thai Sauce Spaghetti did not really hit us. We found the combo a little odd at the beginning... it was a medley of sweet, savory, sour and spiciness in one go but it was somehow weird to us. It was something like Thai Chili sauce with Carbonara Cream sauce; the Chicken was disappointingly average. Though tender, it did not really leave us with a very deep impression. The Cendol Cake was equally disappointing, the "Cendol" element was weak and was only reflected on the whipped Cream. The sponge barely registered the Brown Sugar fragrance. For Rm 18, we thought it was pretty expensive for a slice of cake.
