Fresh Oysters

Scallops

Snow Crab Legs

Mussels

Prawns

Canadian Lobsters

Great starters to the ensuing feast! The Canadian Lobsters were absolutely perfect, they were beautifully cooked with a pleasingly firm texture but not hard to the bite; they were even better with a generous squeeze of Lemon Juice, boosting the seafood-sweetness with the citrusy flavor. The fresh Snow Crab Legs were something not to be missed; although you might find some breaking the crab shells strenuously but getting the pristine white flesh of the Crabs is truly rewarding. The perfectly cooked Prawns were fresh and succulent, equally great was the Scallops but the Oysters were a let down, probably a slipshod in preparation causes the texture to be slouchy.

Be spoilt with choices at Swez Brasserie's amazing variety of Seafood, for Sashimi lovers, leap over to the Sushi Bar for some meticulously prepared Sushi as well as various kinds of Sashimi. I was very pleased with the impressionable quality and freshness of the Sashimi.

Seafood Terrine

Smoked Salmon

Fresh Greens

Smoked Butter Fish

Chicken Sausages

Sushi and Maki

Their Seafood Terrine was pleasingly delectable with its firm and perfect texture while the Smoked Salmon and Smoked Butter Fish can be the perfect accompaniments to the Fresh Greens. Sushis and Makis were standard-average but I felt they were slightly too dry to my liking, probably long exposure to the air without appropriate preparation.

Sze Chuan Hot and Spicy Soup

Sambal Ketam Kampung Style

Pan Fried Fish with Turmeric

Grilled Lobsters with Seafood Broth

Seafood Pie

Thai Style Steamed Tiger Prawns

Seafood Lasagna

Curry Squid

Grilled Red Snapper

Grilled Spicy King Prawns with Cilantro Salsa

I was amazed by the firm texture of the Pan Fried Fish with Turmeric but I was not convinced with its expected flavors, it needs an additional kick to further enliven the dish, nothing out of the ordinary. The Seafood Pie and Seafood Lasagna were equally great, especially for Cheese-lovers, the creamy and buttery soft Seafood Lasagna was filled with generous amount of Seafood; sharing the same ingredients, the Seafood Pie has an additional flaky pastry skin which gives another layered dimension to the dish. The Curry Squid, on the other hand, was a little let down, the Squid Rings were overcooked and slightly too chewy to the bite. The Grilled Red Snapper was good but even better with its tangy home-made Chili Sauce which comprises a balance medley of sweet, sour and spicy notes, was an essential catalyst to bring out the flavors.

Sweet endings were Cakes, Macarons, Blueberry Crumble served with Vanilla Sauce, Chocolate Fountain, Ice Creams and Fresh Fruits. The smiley faces on the Macarons added a welcoming touch to the buffet theme- Pirates Seafood; not only do they look good but they tasted awesome as well. Filling was Peanut Butter which greatly reduced the sweetness of the Macarons. The Blueberry Crumble was served warm, with a layer of well-executed Crumble, it was sweet but not overly so, just perfect to my liking. Fruit-lovers can help yourself with the aplenty choices of Fresh Fruits at the bar- Water Apples, Papayas, Watermelons, Pineapples, Apples, Oranges and Dragon-Fruits.
