With an ambitious aim to host the first Red Carpet Gala Dinner at mainland Butterworth, CHT Network collaborated with Ichi Media for the first time to host an exclusive Red Carpet Gala Dinner- "The North Banquet 2016- of The Hosts and The VIPs". The event was held on 30 July 2016 at Sunway Carnival Mall's Convention Centre and has received tremendous support from many big brands such as RADO, Shiseido Professional, Lamborghini Kuala Lumpur, Sunway Hotel, Royals Blue, Airmas Group, GST Group, Gartien, Starbucks Malaysia, Red Box Karaoke, One East Museum, Passionis and DCOVA etc. The North Banquet provides a platform for identified outstanding and influential personalities as hosts to invite their guests to the aforementioned Red Carpet event in Butterworth and to further promote business networking opportunities. Business industries involved by the Hosts are Tourism and Hospitality, Media, Construction, Manufacturing, Business Consultancy and Legal. The highlights of the evening included charity Auction, Fashion Show, specially crafted 5-course fine dining dinner etc.

"The Heirloom" By Royals Blue
The RADO-sponsored HyperChrome Automatic Chronograph Match Point drew great attention from watch lovers and was auctioned at a high price of Rm 16,000.00. While the gentlemen adore the beauty of the RADO time piece, the ladies were eyeing on "The Heirloom". It was specially designed by Royals Blue with a touch of the Baba-Nyonya Peranakan culture. The jewelry consists of few hundreds of carefully handpicked precious gems such as Rubies, Emerald, Alexandrite, Sapphire, Diamonds and Tourmaline. "The Heirloom" was sold at Rm 47,000.00.

The Hair & Fashion Show themed Evolution of the 60's showcased the vogue and elegant vintage hairstyle in the 60's. Shiseido Professionals introduced the "huge smooth high and low bun" techniques while Richard Rivalee showcased his creations especially designed for the evening.

The 5-course dinner was meticulously planned and well-thought out. Guests started with an appetizer crafted by Chef Petr Feher, European-born celebrity Chef. The Scallops were just-out-of-the-shell fresh and paired beautifully with the citrusy elements. The dinner was then graced by the presence of de-shelled Blue Crab meat; though simple, the natural seafood sweetness of the Crab spoke for itself.
The Stuffed Chicken was alright for the main course but we unanimously agreed that the Black Cod was toothsome. It possessed the melt-in-the-mouth texture but a pity that the Salsa sauce did not manage to bring it to the next level.
Special arrangement for dessert was made and Passionis was brought in to introduce their Double Chocolate Hazelnut Praline, a dessert that Chocolate lovers would go gaga. We washed it down with a hot serving of Coffee.
