A short 15 minute-drive away from the bustling Georgetown, this newly refurbished resort located at the Northern island offers a pleasant refuge after a hectic day exploring the heritage city. The resort faces the beach while the other sides are surrounded by serene greens. The 316-room and suite resort is the only resort under Hilton's group in Penang. All rooms are equipped with modern facilities with majority of them feature private balcony and partial/ full sea views. The modern resort can be a good choice either for a quick family getaway or brief business stay; it has answers to all your requirements- fitness center, swimming pool, spa center, business meeting rooms and a ballroom. For those who wish to be closer to nature, simply walk across the overhead bridge to 'Miami Beach' of Batu Ferringhi. Also, the resort is home to Malaysia's first teddy bear-themed museum, TeddyVille (hotel guests get to enjoy discounts). It's also note worthy that the resort provides complimentary shuttle to tourist attractions in Georgetown and Batu Ferringhi.

The resort offers complimentary parking to all hotel guests (multiple entries). The connectivity is there with easy access to the car park. We were given King Deluxe Room with Balcony on the highest floor, the private balcony offers great (partial) sea view. Those who prefer the natural sea breeze can open up the window and allow the breeze to flow in.
The room has whatever we need, from the basic drinks to bathroom amenities; even iron, safety box or hair dryer. We like the fact that it provides Crabtree and Evelyn amenities, quality products that would appeal to ladies the most. On the TV shows, it has a range of Astro Channels, more than good enough to keep you entertained throughout your holidays.

Retreat while maintaining your healthy lifestyle, there are a few things you can do at DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang. The fitness center has all you need- from treadmills to weight-lifting tools, though not extensive, it's more than good enough to fulfill your daily workout. Otherwise, go for a dip at the pool while your kids can enjoy the water playground right next to the pool. If you must know, there is a children center nearby too. For a more relaxing escape, join the Spa right next to the fitness center, there are a few Spa packages at different rates.

Foodies are not forsaken at DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Penang, the buffet breakfast features a wide variety of food; from light starters to local delights, or healthy options and vegetarian choices; you are all covered. The cold cuts and egg corner are the busiest stations, but we recommend their Yogurt... to be served with plenty of Walnuts and Pistachios.
