Golden Bowl Noodles @ Batu Lanchang, Jelutong, Penang.

Golden Bowl Noodles' signature Instant Noodle-series certainly caught a lot of attention from the netizens, for its similar offering at the famous Ah Lai Cafe. The menu is simple, with a few Instant-Noodle flavors and some Toast-Soft Boiled Egg combination. The location's a little obscure though, it is housed within a coffee shop near to Batu Lanchang market or the exact place where Eam Huat Charcoal Steamboat is located, opposite to Central Park Condominium in the same area.



Cheezy Milky Maggie (Rm 7.90)


Organic Soft Boiled Egg + Toast (Rm 3.50)

We are not huge fans of instant noodles (for obvious reasons) and thought it would be wiser to just try one of their specialties. Their Cheezy Milky Maggie comes in a murky soup and topped with ersatz Sausage, Ham and a Sunny Side Up. The soup possessed a hint of cheesiness and did not register bold flavors (as we'd expect). The dimension for the dish was flat and monotonous, probably too exotic for our untrained taste buds to appreciate. 

It took them more than 20 minutes to serve us their Soft Boiled Egg with Toast; something went wrong with the Eggs but the Toast was prepared. As a result of that, the Toast was soggy and soft the moment it was served to our table. The texture of the bread was stale and did not find anything spectacular about it. 

Milo Magic was nice, though calorific but the Milo flavor was bold and would act as a great thirst-quencher for the sultry hot tropical weather.
