Ninety Century Coffee House @ Alma, Bukit Mertajam, Penang.

The cafe scene in Alma is percolating, evidently seen from the mushrooming of a few new cafes near the center business district area of Alma. Ninety Century (90's) Coffee House caught our attention with its rustic, nostalgic exterior. As expected, the interior is a cozy snug little space, filled with comfortable chairs and tables. The menu is small, featuring some simple and straight-forward nibbles at very reasonable prices. Do not expect high on the variety or you will be disappointed. Nothing is overly interesting here but it provides a cozy place to rest and probably to hang out with your friends.

English Breakfast (Rm 9.90) may seem interesting at first glance but it was quite a let down to see the items on the plate. It has an overcooked Sunny Side Up, caramelized Tomato, Chicken Ham, Chicken Sausage (probably Ayamas), Tomato Baked Beans, a sliver of Bacon and ersatz canned Button Mushrooms. The portion was somewhat huge considering the wallet-friendly price. A pretty straight-forward English Breakfast but I would probably cook all these at home rather to dine in.

Iced Honey Lemon (Rm 6.90)

Long Black (Rm 6.90)
