Cafe Bouchée @ Sunway Perdana, Prai, Penang.

Opened for just a few months, Cafe Bouchee has already proven to be one of the popular cafes at Seberang Prai. Tucked within the commercial shop houses opposite to Sunway Carnival at Seberang Jaya (few shops away from Sushi Zento), the cafe has quite an impressive interior decor- comfortable couches, spacious seating with funky-retro decorations. Although we love the environment and ambiance of the cafe, we thought they could put more effort in their foods. The menu did not surprise us with the ubiquitous Western dishes and Cakes. Nevertheless, Cafe Bouchee is still worth a visit if you are in the vicinity and looking for a decent place to have a cup of tea/ coffee.

Chocolate Fudge (Rm 8) came in a small portion and we were not impressed with the thick layer of Chocolate Cream sandwiched between the Chocolate Sponge. As expected, it was too creamy to our liking. The Chocolaty flavor was there but not as overwhelmed as we would have hoped. Quite a disappointment.

Lemon Cheese Cake (Rm 8) was slightly better than Chocolate Fudge but it was not entirely great either. We like it being Cheesy and not saccharine sweet, with a nice zingy lemon flavor but not like the Sponge in between those Cheeses though. It was not the velvety smooth texture that we were looking forward to.

House Blend Iced Lemon Tea (Rm 7.50)
