Spring Cafe @ Prima Tanjung, Tanjung Tokong

Get to know this restaurant from a newspaper back in few months ago, so the owner originated from Kuala Kurau and the signature dish for this restaurant is curry "kuey teow" and is famous of its smoothness. Other than that, the restaurant serves western and local cuisine too. The place itself is pretty cozy and it has wifi service just like starbucks and old town although the place is abit hard for parking.

This is their signature dish --curry "kuey teow" (Rm8.50). It comes with a huge prawn, the taste was somehow like the curry mee we can find everywhere. The only thing unique was the texture of the kuey teow. Smooth. But overall i find it just okay unless you are a big fan of kuey teow.

"Mix noodles" (Rm8.90). It comes in a rather big portion but somehow it tasted a bit normal as in its nothing special to me. Just an ordinary plate of mix noodles with bunch of seafood although the taste was decent, but, just nothing special.

Spicy Olio Beef (Rm 14.50), now this is something special and unique for me to mention. The price is rather cheap if you compared it with the one in DOME. The taste was superb, love it. The texture of the beef slices were tender, and they have used some spices to increase the flavour. The texture for the spaghetti was perfectly okay as well. I love the using of capsicum in this dish. Recommended.

Fried dumplings (Rm 10.50), yet, another worth mentioning dish. It comes in 6 pieces and the price was considerably cheap as compared to Dragon-I or those more high-end restaurants. From what i had previously, the texture for the skin of the dumplings were either too hard or too soft, but this one is just perfect. Especially the generous amount of ginger given and the vinegar. They are just the perfect combination for dumplings. Recommended as well.

As you can see, the place is quite cozy and suitable for outing with friends and chit chatting sessions. Please do beware of the 10% service charge added onto your bill. The overall portion for the food was just okay if you are not a big eater. They do have a lot of choices on coffee and desserts but they are quite pricey though they are still cheaper than those in starbucks. Give it a try if you happened to be nearby and is craving for coffee or a tea break !!!
